An Ocean of Noise and Yachad, the DC nonprofit for affordable housing and community development are teaming up for a great cause and a great concert. If you live in the DC area and are intersted in seeing Arcade Fire rock out on Friday pm at Merriweather Post Pavilion, here's your chance. Whoever makes the highest contribution to Yachad will receive a free ticket to the show! Your donations will go toward repairing homes and community centers of low-income DC residents in order to ensure that DC remains a city for all people regardless race or economic stature.

Arcade Fire Asks For Help

The Arcade Fire's, Regine Chassagne's, family emmigrated from Haiti before she was born but the singer still has strong ties to country (and even sang about it on their debut, Funeral). Now the band, on their website, is asking for fans to help the catastophe in Port-au-Prince by donating to Partners in Health, a medical clinic in Haiti that was undamaged by the earthquake and is now doing everything they can to support the medical needs of the earthquake victims. After you've done some good for the world, reward yourself with this music video!

New Arcade Fire Album?

According to this story on Pitchfork.com, the Arcade Fire, otherwise known as one of the most important/breath taking bands to come along in the last decade, is set to release a new album in the spring! Now all we have to do is face the emptiness in our lives every single hour of every single day until then.
