A big thanks to everyone who came out to our summer music series yesterday to see up-and-comers, Daddy Lion do their thing under a big shady tree. Special thanks to Kendra Rubinfeld for manning the camera and Thomas Grogan for providing the space and doing the editing duties. The video from the performance will be up soon. We are in the process of lining up new acts and can't wait for more shows. If you would like to attend one of our future dates or interested in playing, please contact us at anoceanofnoise@gmail.com.

Make a Plan to Love Me

In honor of Shameless Self Promotion Day here at AOoN, we wanted to remind you of some of the great interviews we have brought you over the last few months, like:
Indie rock freak-funkers, Le Loup
Apocalyptic noise-makers, The Farewell Republic
DC stalwart and soon-to-be household name, Deleted Scenes
U2's, Bono (Er... maybe some day)
Also, don't miss one of our favorite monthly features State of Rock, whereby we take a look at one of our nation's great states and tell you the top ten musicians or bands who call it home. So far we've covered Washington, DC, Maryland and Kansas. Maybe your state will be next!
Labels:
An Ocean of Noise,
Deleted Scenes,
Farewell Republic,
Le Loup

Happy Veteran's Day
Despite the fact that here in Washington, DC we are being drenched by the remnants of Tropical Storm Ida (that tramp!), An Ocean of Noise is going to spend the day volunteering to fix up a shelter for Veterans put together by our non-profit friends at Yachad. If you have nothing to do today (luck bastard!) check out NPR's comprehensive look at the last decade in music. Good stuff.
