Hello, Farewell

If you are lucky enough to live in the Washington, DC area then you have the opportunity catch the Farewell Republic when they play next Monday, December 21st at the Black Cat. They'll be bringing their very unique brand of art-rock from Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the District, giving you one final chance to rock out before your inundated with so much family and Christmas cheer that you'll want to curl up inside your stocking until it all ends. I had the honor of catching up with guitarist and DC native, Sivan Jacobovitz, who spoke of his love for his hometown and why you will not be hearing his band play a Celine Dion cover anytime soon.

You can catch the interview this Friday but until then you can get your groove on by copying and pasting these links for 3 free downloads from the Farewell Republic's newest EP.
