Song of the Week (Yom Kippur Edition)

Each monday we will preview a song that we think will help get you through the week. Sometimes the music featured may be something new that you need to hear, or something older that you should've heard by now (sheesh, where have you been?) Or maybe we'll just come at you with a goden oldie that it's high time you revisit... you get the point.

This week, in honor of Yom Kippur, a holiday I discovered after meeting a lovely Jewish girl (and after moving out of Kansas), I thought we would do something introspective. Also, to help raise awareness of a local DC band worthy of international acclaim (and actually getting it!) I thought we would do something by Le Loup. A couple days ago I reviewed their new album, Family, which I love, but for this week I thought I'd feature a track off of their previous album, The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nation's Millenium General Assembly, (and inhale). With no further ado:

The Band: Le Loup
The Song: "Planes Like Voltures"

  1. I like it! I'll have to get on Amazon and snatch up the new album. My guess is midwest record stores, better known as Best Buy, will not have the shelves full of Le Loup.

  2. Yeah... probably not Best Buy. Do you have a local independent store nearby? Better than Best Buy anyway.
